"Coon Bottom Creek" is a local bluegrass
band from Wakulla and
The core of the group started to play together sometimes in 2003.
Now the Austrian couple
Maria and Mischa Steurer on vocals, bass, and mandolin,
Red Barnes on vocals and guitar,
Daryl Langston on
vocals and guitar and Chelsea Kessler
on vocals and fiddle.
and just recently Skip
Johns on the 5-string banjos and vocals
are the
six folks in the band which makes the occasionally on-stage performance an
interesting logistical challenge.
However, the great feedback we receive form the
audience every time
we play somewhere is just too much of a treat.
While most songs and instrumentals we play are not originals,
thanks to Billy Samford, our former banjo player,
wrote a number of great songs which we are proud to present in the renewed
formation!
Listen closely and you might catch one or the other at the next occasion.
