The core of the group started to play together sometimes in 2003.
Crystallizing around the Austrian couple
Maria and Mischa Steurer on vocals, bass, and mandolin,
the band currently also includes Daryl Langston on vocals and guitar.

and dobro
Unique to Coon Bottom Creek’s talents is that all members sing. This provides a
variety of lead and harmony vocals which is not typical for most bluegrass
bands. We try to play a wide variety of different songs, not all of them
traditional bluegrass. Listen closely and you might catch one or the other at
the next occasion. We hope you'll meet our band soon and can enjoy our music
with us.
